Pinoys on Parliament

In 2018, members of the Filipino Students Association of the University of Ottawa (FILSAUO) recognized the significant underrepresentation of Filipino/a/x-Canadians in the Canadian government. They felt there was a need for a dynamic space where young individuals could network, learn from established leaders, and gain insights into the fields they aspire to excel in.

Pinoys on Parliament (POP) was born from this vision and has since become the first, largest, and only national leadership conference for Filipino/a/x youth in Canada. Held annually in Ottawa, Ontario, POP empowers participants to connect, grow, and lead within their communities.

Panahon

Pinoys on Parliament 2025

Feb 21-23, 2025

Ottawa, ON, Canada

The term Panahon exists in many Filipino languages and its variation in meaning carries elements of growth and change.

In English, Panahon can be translated to mean weather, time, era or moment.

In life, many moments ask you to change and grow, and the goal of this year's POP is to equip delegates with the tools and confidence to embrace growth and change in both personal and professional aspects of life.
