Kabangka Mentorship Program

The Kabangka Mentorship Program is a program dedicated for young Filipino/a/x-Canadians to connect with trailblazing leaders in their areas of interest, academia, or professional pursuits while building strong relationships and connections.

Ways to Grow

The five-month program focuses on three streams:

  • Professional: for mentees seeking mentorship in their professional career

  • Academic: for mentees seeking mentorship in their academic pursuits, masters and doctoral;

  • Kapwa: a bi-weekly session on MS Teams for mentees to discuss other intersections of their social identities beyond carrer or academia with a facilitator (sexual and gender identites, political, organizing/advocacy, immigration experiences).

Duration: The Kabangka Mentorship team requests a minimum of one meeting per month between mentors and mentees from November 2024 - March 2025.
