Michael Siervo

Michael is a well-known business man, entrepreneur, public speaker, author and philanthropist.  Born and raised in Toronto, Michael Siervo quickly grew to appreciate the work ethic of his Filipino heritage. From early beginnings he excelled in academics at the University of Toronto with an honours degree in Management and Economics and a minor in sociology.  Michael was part of the student group that founded FACES, Filipino Asian Cultural Expressions at Scarborough. This became the first Filipino Student Group at the University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus.

After graduation, Michael quickly rose up the corporate ladder of several large fortune 500 companies. He has held executive positions as President, Vice President and Director of some of the top companies in Canada. He became the youngest and first visible minority to hold a District Vice President title of the 34th largest financial institution in the world. This led the way for a new youth leadership movement and helped introduce social media to his industry in 2006.  In 2006, he was part of the team that launched the most successful product launch in Canadian history. In 2008 his team set the record for the most sales in company history. In 2015, he won a prestigious Emerald Award for Top Sales in the country at his firm. In 2017, he was awarded for Top Percentage Growth in sales at the National Leadership Summit. Celebrating 19 years in the Investment and Financial Services industry, he is currently the District Vice President of the largest investment firm in Canada.  He continues to mentor many of the top performers in his profession and has sat on several advisory councils.

Michael is also the owner and CEO of a private family conglomerate that has owned automotive businesses, real estate, restaurants, marketing and investment firms. As a successful business person, he pays if forward to the community as he is the benefactor for the Michael and Vivienne Siervo Scholarship Fund which provides a tuition money for deserving immigrant students. He is the CEO and founder of AYA (All You Apparel) which is a clothing company that inspires positivity and raises money for charities. Michael is the President and Co-Chairman of the board for the Filipino Chamber of Commerce Alberta.  He has been nominated for Top 40 Under 40 and 2018 was awarded the Community Spirit Award by the True Beauty Foundation.

Despite business and personal success, Michael believes in staying down to earth and level headed. Confident humility is his motto. A lover of mixed martial arts, karaoke, music, dancing and style, Michael believes life is short so appreciate every moment. When asked about important questions Michael has been known to say that his religion is Kindness, this political view is empathy, his cure to anything is humour and his favourite superhero is Batman.
